Description

Llogara National Park was announced in 1966, and is located on the road connecting the city of Viora with Saranda and is a station of important holiday for all who travel along the coast road. The park lies in the upper part of the Ducati valley, from 500 m to 2045 m above sea level and has an area of about 1.010 ha. The park has dense forests, water springs and natural monuments. One of most prominent natural element within the park is the "Pine Flag". It is distinguished in the Mediterranean for its high biodiversity: about 1400 species or about 42%  of the flora of our country. There are varieties of animals, 105 species of birds, of which 10 rare and threatened species. There are cat and wild boar, roe deer, marten, etc. At altitude of 1025 m above sea level lies the neck of Llogara, an important point with extraordinary panorama, from where you can see the entire Albanian Riviera of the south.
